The police are still working on solving Katie’s murder. They haven’t found much and they won’t tell me anything. Annabeth and I have talked to them a few times. They asked us some questions. I just need to know who did it.

I found out that Brendan Harris was dating Katie and they were going to go to Las Vegas and get married. The police found out that Katie closed her bank account and she had Las Vegas pamphlets in the backpack. I can’t believe she wouldn’t tell me. I know I don’t like the kid, but I can’t believe that my Katie would just leave without saying goodbye.

The police have question Dave Boyle a few times. He says it is just because he was at the same bar as Katie. I asked him about it and he said that he saw her and her friends at the bar. Celeste came by and talked to me. She told me she was afraid of Dave and that she took her son Michael and left Dave. She said that he came home the night Katie was killed, covered in blood with a story of being attacked by a mugger, but she didn’t believe it. She thinks that Dave killed Katie and I agree.

Katie's dead. She's gone. She didn't show up for work. I figured she was just hung over from her night out last night. But then she just didn't show up to Nadine’s first communion and that's not like her. She wouldn't miss this. I heard police sirens after Nadine's first communion. I had a really bad feeling so I followed them to Penn Park. Sean was there, ya know, my old buddy. Well he's a detective now. They found Katie's car out in front of that kid Harris’ house. She wasn’t there. I asked to speak to Sean. He came and talked to me, said they didn’t find a body yet, but I would be notified if they found anything to do with Katie. He was called away. I was sick of waiting. I had to know if it was my daughter. I had to know. My brother in law, Val and I stormed in. They found her, Katie. Dead. Thrown away like a piece of trash. My Katie, Dead. I can’t believe it. And not just dead, murdered. She was shot and beaten. Who was do this to my Katie? Katie was nice to everyone and everyone loved her. She never hurt anyone. Whoever did this to her is going to pay.

I can't believe the last time I wrote in here was about Dave getting kidnapped. That was so long ago, about 25 years I think. Well, let's get caught up on my life, but we can just skip high school. My first wife Marita, passed while I was in prison (we're going to skip prison too). When I got out of prison, I had a daughter, Katie that I had to take care of. I had to raise her right. So I was done with the life. I know that I’m not perfect, but looking at Katie now, I know that I raised her right. She is a really good person and I’m really proud of her.

I got remarried to my lovely wife, Annabeth who I love very much. She has two kids, Nadine and Sara. Katie is so good to them. She spends time with them and they absolutely adore her.

Katie is out tonight with some of her friends, Eve and Diane. They are good kids. Nadine’s first communion is tomorrow. We are all going and after we are all going out to celebrate. It’s going to be a good day. I can’t believe my kids are growing up. It seems like just yesterday I got out of prison, now it’s my baby’s first communion. Where does the time go?

So last Saturday was just a normal day, ya know? I was at Sean's house, just chillin with Sean and Dave, playin in the streets. Sean, Dave, and I got into a little fight, no big deal though. Just a couple of shoves, nothing big. But these cops drove up and saw us. And well they freaked out. They yelled at us, said we shouldn't be fighting. They asked us where we lived. Sean pointed to his house. I didn't like these cops, so I told them I lived across the street and pointed to a random house. And of course, Dave said he lived in the flats. Well they took him, said they were going to drive him home and tell his mother that we were fighting. We figured out that they weren't cops. They were bad people. We told our dads that the cops took Dave. They were the ones that figured out that they weren't real cops. So they called the real cops. They asked us a bunch of questions about what the guys looked like and their car. Dave showed up four days later. He was fine. There was a huge party for him. I saw my teacher there. I wish the party was for me though, not for Dave.
